About
The WHT was formed in 1991 and is committed to community control, local priority setting, complete integration of all community based services and productive partnerships between providers and the community. A core objective is the delivery of quality inter-disciplinary health care to the Waiheke community.
As well as home support services the Trust provides the following services: district and community nursing, public health nursing, hospice nursing, well child and family health, social work, radiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, vision and hearing clinics, immunisation programmes, health promotion, community co-ordination, GP medical and nursing services.
The Trust also serves as home base and provides stoma, speech and diabetes clinics as well as community mental health services.
We were certificated to the NZ Home and Community Support Sector Standard in 2006.
