About

The focus of the Nurse Maude Association is patient well-being, and providing a wide range of services to meet the needs of the individual, both in their home and in care when necessary. The Association has more than a thousand staff working in its service divisions.

Community-based services include home care, district nursing and specialised nursing services including wound care, continence and stomal advice, intravenous therapy, plus the community dietician and diabetes advice.

Our services on-site in Merivale include the Hospice and Memorial Hospital.

Meals and linen services are available to the community, and The Shop at Nurse Maude provides goods to support people in their homes.

Support for our clients includes bereavement support, and a social worker, and our volunteers add another dimension. An interpreter service is available if needed.

Most of our services are offered free of charge to our clients, with donations providing valuable support where needed.

Contract Services

Home Support, Community and Specialist Nursing, Hospice Palliative Care, Aged Care, Continence and Stoma Care Coordination, Linen Services Contracted Home support with Canterbury DHB. Contracts with Ministry of Health. Sub-contracted to provide ACC services (via Access Homehealth)

Private Services

Home Support and Community Nursing, Health and Mobility Supplies, Meal and Linen Services

 

Holds current Certification to:

NZS 8158: The Home and Community Support Sector Standard.
