As a not-for-profit charity, our service philosophy is based on core principles of compassion, dignity, honesty, integrity and respect.  These are the principles our clients have told us they value most.

As people age and experience health issues that affect their daily lives, retaining their personal dignity by living life in their own home and minimising dependence on family or carers becomes very important.  The RDNS philosophy is respectful of the individual's wishes as we strive to deliver an innovative, compassionate and customer-centred service; an approach that has served our clients well for over 125 years.

At the heart of this restorative approach to home care is quality assessment of the client's needs, care management, personal goal setting, appropriate packages of care and delivery of quality service.

RDNS works with the client and their family to ensure that care is tailored to meet goals, expectations, health conditions and cultural considerations.  In Melbourne last year, RDNS provided services to over 32,500 clients from 147 countries, speaking 103 different languages.  Cultural competency and diversity management are integral to RDNS's core business.

All New Zealand employees are trained to meet the cultural needs of their clients.

Coverage

Auckland Central region for DHB funded services and Greater Auckland region for other private ACC funded services. Otago and Southland Region for Southern DHB funded services.

Contract Services

Contracted to deliver packages of care home based services to Auckland and Southern DHBs DHB which includes registered health professional assessment, care planning, personal care and personal assistance services. Contracted provider to ACC to provide services in the Auckland region.

Private Services

Able to deliver home nursing, personal care, allied health services as required on a fee for service basis to clients who wish to privately source these services.

 

Holds current Certification to:

NZS 8158: The Home and Community Support Sector Standard.
