About

Te Puna Ora o Mataatua

We deliver Homebased Support Services to kaumātua across Mataatua/Eastern Bay of Plenty.

If you're over 65 years old it could be free. We also can train and employ whānau to support their own kuia and koroua.

We are one of the largest Māori providers of Homebased Support Services across the country. We currently employ over 400 support workers across the region.

Homebase Services

Household Management
Vacuuming and tidying, dusting, laundry, ironing, meal preparation and shopping.

Personal Care
Goal and lifestyle planning, clinical care, personal grooming and hygiene.

Sleepovers
Tasks for up to 12 hours overnight and making breakfast.

Over 65

We help you to maintain your independence during your retirement years. We provide support workers to deliver household management and personal cares so you can continue living a healthy life.

If you're over 65 years old this service could be free.

Palliative Care

Do you have a loved one that is terminally ill? We understand the stresses that follow when your whānau member is seriously unwell.

We provide Palliative Care support with trained support workers who can assist in providing both household management and personal cares for your whānau member allowing you to spend crucial quality time together.

Under 65

Are you under 65 years old? Do not worry, we've got your covered too. Whether you're chronically ill or need assistance with household management and/or personal cares we maybe able to assist you as well.

Short-Term Care

Needing a bit more time to recover? Six week post-discharge packages are available to those who have recently been discharged from hospital.

Let our support workers take the stress away during your recovery period.

How It Works

We work with the BOPDHB Needs Assessment and Service Coordination(NASC) Service in organising and confirming referrals.

Kaumātua are designed individual care plans that are made up of household management, personal care and/or sleepover tasks.

Refer to eligibility criteria for these services.
