Oko Āio is a consortium of Māori and Pacific Peoples service providers united to amplify their collective voice while maintaining a national support structure. This structure empowers providers to deliver services in a way that reflects and respects their local communities. With rangatiratanga (self-determination) as a guiding principle, every partner has an equal voice at the table. Oko Āio meets the need for a national presence and representation for Kaupapa Māori services while preserving the unique authenticity each provider brings to their rohe (region) and community.
