Whaioranga Trust

Whaioranga Trust was established in 1982, it was the first Marae based, Māori Health provider in Aotearoa, New Zealand.  Whaioranga Trust has paved the way for many Māori Health Providers in Tauranga Moana and throughout the Motu.

 

Like our Iwi, our people, we are still here, providing much needed health and social services to our people. From the original service of “Whānau Support” there exists today services including Whānau Support, Rongoa, Mirimiri, Counselling, Mental Health, Disabilities and the Kaumatua Programme.

 

Whaioranga Trust Services

A Whānau based support service to increase independence and wellbeing of whānau through advocacy, access to resources, increase in knowledge and support. Individualised Service Plans are created that cater to the needs of whānau.

Disability Support Services may be able to assist you to live independently and safely in your own home. We can provide you with an individual support plan that will allow you to receive help with showering – dressing – housework and medication oversight.

  • Access to Culturally Appropriate Local Services

 

Location: Katikati to Papamoa
Elder Abuse Response Services (EARS) ensures that older people experiencing or at risk of experiencing abuse and neglect have timely access to culturally appropriate local services that respond to ensure their immediate safety, and support them to have greater control over their lives. Services provided include the Katikati to Papamoa area.

Holds current Certification to:

NZS 8158: The Home and Community Support Sector Standard.
